Brit-cars.com does quite well but I wouldn't say it is the biggest or the best. it's subjective. Nice carrot tho!

Only one section of Brit-cars is dedicated to MG so I'm not sure that I would describe it as an "MG enthusiasts website" any more than I would describe facebook as one?

The MG Car Club forum has a fair number of posts these days, the fact that they are nearly all about MGBs doesn't rule it out, but roverman was talking about the MG5 and you wont find much about that on the MGCC forum.

I can't help thinking that Roverman was describing a well-known "MG Rover" site.

Say you like MGs, however, and you will soon discover whether or not it could be described as an enthusiast's site! Laughing

I did wonder if that was what he ment, but with MG having banned MG-Rover signage from its dealers due to MG-Rover being a different company which went bust a few years ago and that site clearly being an MG-Rover enthusiasts site I thought the desciption "UK MG enthusiasts website" really doesn't fit it. Looking at its news page you might question its enthusiasm for MG too, with front page headlines like: "SAIC, the biggest car company you've never heard of?" and "The Future's bright, the future's, erm... red!" ...

If your looking for information then maybe aronline would be in contention, although it's never been too enthusiastic about the new ownership of MG!

Windy - re read what I've said. I didn't say it was the biggest, I said it does quite well. The MG section has been condensed from all the the sub sections to what it looks like now. If you were to look through it you would see a lot of MG stuff as the bulk of those who post are/were MG owners. Smile

Anyone responding to this thread was always going to court controversy, regardless of what they said! Ha, ha, ha! Controversy from something not controversial! Laughing

I've followed this site for sometime and have you links or borrowed stuff from here but always highlighted the source. As I have bought a new MG6GT I felt it was time I said 'hello' and post on this fine web site.

Admin - how will I be able to post up photos of my new '6 in the gallery when I take ownership of it?

I'm not an Admin (that's surely the W-Man) but what I did was to open a free account at photobucket. It works well. (There are other services like imageshack).

Looking forward to seeing those photos!

I thought the question was an interesting one since there seem to be lots of small MG enthusiast sites on the web but there really isn't a big one dedicated to MG unless you count the MG-Rover one, but yes it was always going to difficult to be difficult to give a non-controversial answer Smile Having lots of sites with different characters is probably better than one big fight though!

We have a gallery for the MG6 here:
    http://www.mguk.org/gallery/Cars/MG-6/MG-6-cat_c16.htm

We don't have a lot of storage space available but I would be very happy to swap some of those chinese images with some nice UK images. You may be able to add your own by pressing a white button with blue and orange writing (In french!) in the top right but I'm not sure if you can see it? Due to limited storage space they will need aproval by the moderators.

You could also email me the images and I can put some up, let me know if you want an email address, don't think you can send photos through the contact button.

Linking to photobucket or whatever means that you are in control of your own images and there is no storage space issue. Personally I use a photo album at www.live.com as it seems to have far less problems than photobucket. Only issue is that they then don't get into the gallery unless I choose to copy them there, you can only put them into a thread from photobucket.

Windy, I doff my cap. On Brit-cars we have a decent server with lots of space for our galleries (feel free to take a view) so i'm not used to limited gallery space!!! You have pm.
