Move over for the MG6 GT!

You may think that you know everything there is to know about the MG6 but we have one more surprise up our sleeve – the name. To date we have referred to the MG6 only as the ‘fastback’ and the ‘saloon’. Today we are proud to announce that the MG6 fastback, launched nationwide this weekend, will be known as the MG6 GT. This first car of the new generation is stylish and modern and captures the essence of the qualities that have always underpinned the MG brand – what better way to celebrate our return than to share aspects of the name with the most famous fastback from our rich history. /Keith and Steph

(I've put this in UK News because this naming will affect all new MGs. So the punter-ready ones will have a "GT" badge the demo cars don't have!)

I know cars get bigger with each generation but it is a very big step up from the MGbGT to the MG6GT Shocked

Two questions...

1. What do we think the saloon will be called?

2 Will there a summer special edition called the GnT?

3. Yes I know I said only 2..but GTX, GTZ, GTR, GTS..... for the sporty version

I must say this "6GT" thing was completely under wraps. Something for everyone to talk about in the week before the launch!
