Goodwood Moving Motor Show - Fri Jul 01, 2011 7:14 pm
I know of a red one in the Lake District area, an orange one in the South-East to go with a white one and a black one (which has toured up to and around Birmingham and Leicester and back again the last couple of days)!
My new MG6 GT!! - Sun Jun 26, 2011 4:41 pm
Richard, after driving approx 400 miles on one tank and doing most of this to and from MGLive! yesterday I can confirm that the car is great to drive not only on motorways and A roads but on B roads out the back of Silverstone.
I was also fortunate enough to have another test drive of a TSE on track, this time Silverstone's Stowe test circuit. FANTASTIC!!! Even with an instructor (who didn't need to instruct) and my wife and son on board I managed to push the car round the circuit without letting the tyres go (exactly what they were after) and all of them (including me) enjoyed the experience!!!

After leaving Gatesehead on Wednesday I drove South on the A19 on Wednesday which happens to be not many miles from where your road is. Unfortunately (or fortunately on the cost front) I was not in my car but a work one at the time.

It looks like I'm now going to MGLive! This w/e so I'm hoping to test drive another - this time on Silverstone's track!!!
My new MG6 GT!! - Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:51 pm
She really likes it. Even though the rear window initially seems restricted, the rear mirror gives fantastic views all round and she hasn't got that stupid (her words, not mine) spoiler that we had on the ZS! She thinks the side mirrors are very good too. After having the seat set up like in the ZS on day 1 she found that it hurt her shin when using the pedals as the seats are higher than in the ZS. A little bit of readjusting and she's got the perfect position.
This evening I was able to drive on the shopping run!!!! I positioned the car at the end of a row at the Supermarket, away from others. I'm pleased to report the car survived. I even moved the mirrors in which seemed quite a cool function to perform! finding the car after the shop stumped me for a second as I'm used to seeing a large silver spoiler saying 'hello, I'm over here!' but I then saw the black shape with a suttle lip spoiler which put a smile on my face.
My new MG6 GT!! - Thu Jun 23, 2011 2:03 pm
On Sunday I managed to push the mileage up to around 80 (shock, horror!) but my wife has used the car all week to get to and from her work. I last saw the car on Monday am as I've been working away all week until today!

I originally did the link to FB but realised only Pat Pending is my 'friend' on there!!!! Didn't realise you'd have to become a member to look at them. Dynamo/Richard, did you look at thread link or photos in the gallery? Like this forum, we don't bite on Brit-cars!!!
My new MG6 GT!! - Sat Jun 18, 2011 9:49 pm
Today was the day I collected my new car. A fab day of financial transactions from myself and my mate who bought my car, all paperwork duly signed and the keys were handed over. The car had seven miles on the clock. After a full day of sorting out furniture with my mate who'd bought his first place and helping him move beds, units and matresses, the mileage at the end of the day had increased to a massive......20 miles! I'm pleased he had a van!
Anyway, piccie for you all: http://forum.brit-cars.com/showthread.php?t=9717
Question about the MG6 - Mon Jun 13, 2011 8:32 pm
Nice posts chaps! Nice looking car Martin, I hope all goes well tomorrow.
Next week I'm doing Uni visits with wife and daughter. This mean returning my new MG6 to the region of its recent birth. The following day I will be going to Leicester. That means I will be doing the Southern half of the M25 one day to the M40 and 2/3rds of the Northern half the next and then North up the M1 to Jnct 21. I'm not going to rag the car at all, I'll happily stick to 70 and watch people take interest as they go passed. At services I look forward to the odd person asking about the new car. I hope this will happen. a
A few years ago we went to Florida and were due to have a typical American 4 door. Unfortunately these had all gone and they gave us something else - A Chrysler PT Cruiser. I was sceptical but looking at it against the 'normal' cars it looked different and therefore stood out (cream white was its colour so was relatively bright compared to most cars out there). In actual fact it was a fun car to drive and so different from the regular boxes in every way. Several times people gingerly came over to inspect the car as they'd seen it but dismissed it on TV or if they'd passed one in the street (highway, drive, etc). It was only when they saw it in the flesh and asked me questions that they realised it was quite a good car and my report back to them was that it was fun.
I'm therefore expecting/hoping this scenario to happen when I pull up in Services or shopping centre car parks in the coming weeks and months. Trust me, I will ensure I visit as many Services or shopping centre car parks as possible to raise the profile and get people talking - wife permitting!
Sales Figures 2011 - Sat Jun 11, 2011 4:05 pm
Let's hope so. I know of another person who signed on the paper this morning. As the MG6 they are buying is already in the showroom they will drive away with it on Tuesday (TSE spec). Mine was delivered today, has gone off for PDI and should be ready after Wednesday. I'm collecting her on Saturday 18th!!! Happy days!
New car ready to be transported!!! - Tue Jun 07, 2011 9:33 pm
Great news received today:
Jerry,
Good news. The car is being collected from here tomorrow afternoon. The contract we have with the transport company states that they must deliver within five days – usually it is quicker than that but it depends on vehicle loads as they’ll probably do a number of pickups prior to heading south for efficiencies. Get set for the call from Apple shortly!
Regards
Keith Harris
Hopefully I'll get it this w/e or beginning of next week.

Dynamo - congratulations on your new purchase. I learnt on Friday that the VIN had been registered for my '6 so it has been confirmed - it is built!!! Hopefully i'll get a phone call some time this week (or an email from Keith Harris) telling me it's on its way to the dealers for its PDI. Here's hoping!!!!
Question about the MG6 - Fri Jun 03, 2011 8:10 am
I would ask them what cars are actually made in the country the manufacturer comes from. For example - VW are made in Spain and in Mexico and I can say that the quality appears to be second rate (a mate works for a dealer and he sees for himself how poor they are), BMWs are made in Slovenia (I believe) as well as South Africa, companies like GM, Ford, VW, etc have had joint partnerships with Chinese companies for ages to build their cars so the only difference is MG is owned by the Chinese with 80% of the car bing assembled in China with the remaining 20% being built in the UK - more than most cars these days!
You can then ask them what car they own - that normally shuts them up! I have used this against most people who have raised the issue and they start to agree with you. On top of this I've showed them the brochure and also the Quentin Wilson video. The end result? They're impressed and want to see it in the flesh whjen I get mine - especially when you tell them what you get for your money!!!!!
MG5 to launch in June 2012 - Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:27 pm
I can see the '6 going up in price by at least £1K to allow the others to fit in.
Just test drove an MG6 - Fri May 27, 2011 9:19 pm
Indeed but do you see what I've mentioned - bumper and some space beyond it?
Just test drove an MG6 - Fri May 27, 2011 8:41 pm
I've seen the camera in situe, not working. It fits in really well where the tailgate release is. It points at an angle so bumper and road (or car you're about to reverse into) can be soon. Is this what is seen from inside Pat?
Its on its way - Thu May 26, 2011 8:32 pm
When I go to pick up mine i may wear an official MG X Power shirt from 2002 but I'm not sure if I'll wear a team baseball cap as well! I hope you have a great day collecting your car Dynamo. No news on mine yet but it won't be long!

I'm not an Admin (that's surely the W-Man) but what I did was to open a free account at photobucket. It works well. (There are other services like imageshack).
Looking forward to seeing those photos!

I've followed this site for sometime and have you links or borrowed stuff from here but always highlighted the source. As I have bought a new MG6GT I felt it was time I said 'hello' and post on this fine web site.

Only one section of Brit-cars is dedicated to MG so I'm not sure that I would describe it as an "MG enthusiasts website" any more than I would describe facebook as one?
Windy - re read what I've said. I didn't say it was the biggest, I said it does quite well. The MG section has been condensed from all the the sub sections to what it looks like now. If you were to look through it you would see a lot of MG stuff as the bulk of those who post are/were MG owners.
