A Chinese company is to buy Hummer, the General Motors brand known for its military- inspired offroad vehicles and seen as a symbol of gas-guzzling, road-hogging American excess. I see from MG Enthusiast that an intrepid band of drivers will be driving an MGA, an MGB, and four MGB GTs from the MG6 factory in Shanghai to Longbridge where they will have pictures taken with the MG6 also.

According to Mike Rutherford in today's Telegraph (not found on-line), brand rating consultancy Brandfinance have produced a top 20 car brands on criteria including the company's financial strength, headed by Toyota still. Well done to the MG TF for winning the title of "Best domestic convertible 2010" in good company amongst the Ferraris, and well done to the Germans for winning almost every other title!
