HGF - 1 in a million?

With just about 900,000 cars sold; for the first time I've come across a report of a definite head gasket failure without any cause being given.  It is on an MG7 so presumably an N series engine rather than the Kavachi engine found in the MG6 etc.

They say that any car can suffer HGF, but maybe with MG it is one in a million!

Editor Bernd Ostmann mentions that Renault's strategy with value brand Dacia has been very successful. Dacia is selling 800,000 cars a year at a margin of 6-11%. Consultants IHS Automotive predict the value sector will have grown from the current 8m vehicles a year to 10m by 2017.

A return to normal figures after December, most models have still done better than in November but the overall score is down a little.

Interesting that both China and UK trends are turning upwards.
